This document provides an introduction to the CMST 228: Argument and Reasoning course taught by Keith Green at Ridgewater College. The course will cover the basic structure, types, and critical analysis of arguments over 8 chapters with lectures, discussions, and tests. Students will learn to identify logical fallacies and apply their knowledge to construct arguments. The course is designed to improve critical thinking skills and applies to Minnesota Transfer Curriculum goals. Coursework includes chapter quizzes, analyses, discussions, and a final project. Policies outline late work, plagiarism, communication expectations, and technology issues.
