Whole area approach: Birmingham Overall strategic goal to make Birmingham an empowered City by 2026 - Informing  Consulting  Involving  Enabling NI4 Local Authority – “Strengthening Communities  Outcome – encourage more active participation of Birmingham Citizens and increasing the % of people who feel they can influence decisions locally Take Part Pathfinder Champion  – complemented by other programme initiatives ie EVC and TSEPI and WNF Concentrated on Facilitators Training – sustainability Joint learning opportunities for Public Agency Staff, Community Sector Staff and Active Citizens Voice, Echo Facilitators, Women’s Take Part  Learning Programme (TSEPI) as well as  addition of inaugural Structured Dialogue Method Facilitators and Creative Engagement Techniques inc PA
Structured Dialogue Method STRUCTURED – there are rules DIALOGUE – it is based on questioning between people METHOD – methodological approach Based on storytelling Story Circle and theme 2 stories, a dozen people, 3 hrs “ Ground rules” Story, Reflection, dialogue (questioning), insights x2 Utilising the Questioning Cycle – WHAT, WHY, SO WHAT, NOW WHAT Categorising insights Lead to a Theory (information based on experience)
