- 1. This Unit Plan is for a seventh grade English class in a private school. Over the course of a week, the class will participate in several different activities that outline the concepts of genre and writing style. The students will have a week-long project, complemented by a few smaller projects throughout the week. There is a writing assignment at the end of the week that requires the students to reflect on what they learned. Through the use of YouTube videos, the class blog, examples, and mini assignments that assess their understanding daily, the students will learn about the concepts of genre and writing style.
