Livable Residential Streets
Aims of this workshop
• Analyse four locations to reimagine the street corridors using three different
scenarios
• Create ideas to make these streets more friendly, vibrant places to be and shift
the focus from just mobility to activity by degrees
• Harness the power of collaborative knowledge – get creative and make a
difference!
• Generate new ideas for ‘Streets for People’ that may become reality…

• The use of ‘light touch’ cycle delineation
measures - cyclists feel safer using the
road.
• The result can be a reduction in vehicle
speeds and an increase in cycle numbers
• Cycle Superhighways are cycle routes
running from outer London into and across
central London.
• They provide safer, faster and more direct
journeys into the city and aim to provide a
fast and effective way to get to work.
