1) An attitude is a positive or negative evaluation of people, objects, events, activities, or ideas that is expressed through favoring or disfavoring something to some degree. 2) Attitudes have three components - affective (feelings and emotions), behavioral (actions towards the object), and cognitive (perceptions and beliefs). 3) People with positive attitudes are optimistic, find something good in every situation, see mistakes as learning opportunities, view problems as challenges, and are usually happy. Those with negative attitudes find faults, blame others, see failures when mistakes happen, resist change, and are often pessimistic and frustrated.
