- 2. Preliminary Task Front Cover and Content page layout I had created a page layout for my school magazine, I had also included border so when the text is added it will stand out. Tools used: Rectangle Tool for the borders and the background. Paint Bucket tool to colour in the shapes. Filter Tool to add an effect on the border. These tool all helped me to create a suitable layout for my magazine.
