This document provides an introduction to an automatic dual axis solar tracking system project. It discusses the growing global energy crisis due to factors like overconsumption, population growth, and finite fossil fuel reserves. This has led to a focus on renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy. The sun emits a large amount of energy every second, of which a portion reaches the earth's surface. Solar panels can convert this sunlight into electricity. The project aims to design a dual axis solar tracking system using microcontrollers, light sensors, and servo motors to increase the efficiency of solar panels by 30-45% compared to fixed panels by keeping them perpendicular to the sun.
