- #6: 18 years old, major force in software testing and QA, recent gartner reports calls us software testing visionaries 2nd largest in the world that is completely focused on software testing & QA services We also do services such as business assurance when we work with our customers, there are lots of different ways that we provide testing services, in some cases we just help out on a particular project. over a longer term engagement, we get involved in what's called a managed testing solution approach, which is where customers will work together with us to identify what their objectives are, and we will work with them to construct service level agreements to actually deliver that, and ultimately get into results based testing, where there are contractual guarantees for delivering various types of software testing and QA. QualiTest also delivers many services here in the United States, but also have offshore and test centers around the world, depending on the nature of the work, we provide a soltuion that makes the most sense.

- #11: (1) Reactive – responsive to data and environment (e.g., inspecting status, detecting file formats, partial workflows depending on situation [edix]) (2) Conventional data driven approach does not scale well to large data sets (3) NSF, X12, ASCII, sometimes distributed across multiple files, and a test can validate multiple file formats together (also formats like X12 can vary depending on client/vendor) (4) Requires more db knowledge than what is demanded in test automation (5) Configure the environment against which validation occurs through frontend (6) Needed a holistic approach due to the large number of test cases (7) Needed workflow to complete without human intervention to allow testers more time for test analysis rather than configuration and execution, due to the complex nature of these workflows
- #14: (1) What is KDT KDT is Highly configurable and data driven We used non traditional data driven approach, where instead of each step being executed multiple times per data row, we executed variable sized batches of data per step (2) Solutions to compare multiple interrelated sets of tables with varying requirements for identifying the data to compare (different primary and secondary keys) (3) Auto detection of file formats and their comparison, also the ability to extend functionality with new file formats (4) Framework allows a class hierarchy for keywords that allows us to establish a framework for EDI/DB and WS functionality. Framework built using Java. (5) Automatic management and configuration for baseline and generation of new baseline data (6) Overall report provides details on each step, including results, warnings, errors, and links to additional in depth reports (such as comparison).
