- BCIX will upgrade its route server in 2014, replacing OpenBGPD with BIRD to implement stricter filtering of prefixes and AS numbers based on daily updated data from IRRDBs. An example filter for AS48173 is shown. - New core switches with 10G and 100G ports will be deployed in two BCIX points of presence to provide a fully redundant backbone network. - BCIX will offer 100Gbps ports at selected locations starting in 2014, with a one-time fee of 5000 Euro and monthly fee of 5000 Euro for trials.
