E.g. big climate data, atmospheric data can be used for better weather predictions, vital for smart farming (SC2) EO data can be used for optimising renewable energy production (wind predictions, wave energy predictions) ... but still remains under-used Data from COPERNICUS and other publicly funded EO schemes is often "too big" to be easily re-used Commonalities SC5 and Big Data? EO data/climate data is Big Data H2020 SC5 Work Programme 2016-17 does not address any specific Big Data challenges (the same way as SC1, SC6 and SC7 do).
