- 1. Through the construction of my media product I have learned many new skills, and developed most Some of these include: using Photoshop effectively, using blogger, slide share, Prezzi, YouTube etc… However I have also learnt about new websites to use such as DaFont.
- 2. Whilst producing my magazine cover, I used blogger to document and record my process and why I’d chose to do what I did. I have used a range of technology within blogger rather than just texts boxes, such as uploading pictures, videos, a Prezi etc…
- 3. For the physical production of my product I have used Photoshop. I have also used to edit images. I had never used Photoshop previously so it was rather difficult for me at first. However, after using it for a sustained amount of time I know feel like I can effectively use Photoshop to a high standard.

- 5. I used publisher, rather than Photoshop, to create my double page spread as it handles columns of text better than Photoshop in my opinion. As a result of this it was very easy for me create my product around the existing columns of text.
- 6. I used Microsoft word to create pie charts and graphs, as well as physical questionnaires, to present my research. I did this to make my blog seem more technological, and less boring.
- 7. I used a website, that was new to me, called dafont.com to find fonts to use on my products' had never heard of this website before so now I feel I have a new bank of fonts to choose from in the future rather than just basic Microsoft ones.
- 8. Whilst conducting all my research, I used the very well renowned search engine, google. The google images feature allowed me to search for existing magazines that I could base mine off and annotate. This was very useful and efficient rather than using physical copies, although I varied the two, my prominent form of research was done through Google.
- 9. In order to identify what was attractive about my magazine and why it looked like it was aimed at my target audience I used a video feed back (Question 5.) I had to first upload the video which was taken on my phone to YouTube in order to insert an embed code into the composition of my blog. Despite this sounding long winded and technical, I chose to do it because it would give my blog a range of technology that has been used to create it.
- 10. I used Slideshare, similarly to YouTube to vary the aspects of technology that I have used to create my blog. However, Slideshare was particularly useful when presenting lots of pictures and annotations, as you can see now, rather than taking up a lot of room in my blog by uploading pictures individually.
- 11. I used Prezi to mind map potential title ideas for my magazine title. I used Prezi because it added yet another aspect of technology used to create my blog, but furthermore it was a digital way in which I normally think of ideas – mind mapping.
- 12. When taking pictures used for my magazine, I used a Nikon DSLR for my pictures used on my Front cover, double page spread and contents pages. I also used my iPhone 5 to take a picture at a concert that is on my front cover. I had never used a high quality camera before, so in this process I have learnt much more about photography. For example, now I know how to zoom, blur, and control the camera flash. Furthermore I learnt about how lighting and the background can affect the quality of a picture.
