 Aims or goals:
 During this lesson students will be able to make a revision of the
vocabulary they have been working with and they’ll learn the
interrogative form of the modal ‘Will’ and they ‘ll make a revision
of its affirmative and negative form
 Learners will make use of their listening comprehension skills
when they listen to the teacher, the recording and their peers.
They’ll also put into practice their speaking skills, when they
interact with their peers in order to answer some questions and
when they read the answers of the activities in order to check
them.
 Learners will put into practice their background knowledge when
they recognize the vocabulary they have already worked with.
 Regarding the multiple intelligences by Spratt et al,2005. They’ll
use the visual (they’ll learn through seeing pictures and posters)
and the auditory (they’ll learn through hearing a recording and
the teacher)
 Teaching points: Learning of the interrogative form of the modal
‘Will’ .

 Teaching approach or combination of methods/ approaches: Communicative approach-
PPP method.
 Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how? The skills that will be
integrated during this lesson are reading ( they’ll read the information on the board and
their activities) writing ( they’ll write down answers , sentences a dialogue and a short
prediction) , listening ( they’ll put into practice their listening skills when they listen to a
recording in one of the activities, the teacher and their peers)and the speaking skill
(they’ll produce sentences orally in some of the activities and also, when they interact
with their peers and the teacher.)
 Materials and resources: pictures, sticking tape, photocopies, marker, board, mobile
phone, loudspeakers, paper- posters.
 Pedagogicaluseof ICTin classor at home: I’ll use my mobile phone and loudspeakers to
reproduce a recording, in the listening comprehension activity.
 Seating arrangement: They’ll be sitting in a semi-circle.
 Possibleproblems/ difficultiesandtheir possiblesolutionsduring theclass: Studentsmay
get distracted talking about how amazing will be computersin the future (activity 3). In
this case, I’ll tell them (in a kind manner) thattheir imagination is great butwe cannot
lose the lesson’s purpose, they have some pre-established minutes to do the activity.
 Potentialproblemsstudentsmayhavewiththelanguage: Maybeitwould be difficult for
them to write the prediction abouthow computerswill be /won’tin the futureand also
read it in frontof the class. I’llhelp them to overcome their challenges guiding them
when they have to write the prediction and when they have to express themselves orally
if it is necessary. I will also tell them phrases like ‘you can do it’, ‘come on’.
 Assessment: I’ll teach students using pictures and a poster. I’ll check if students
understand or not by observing them and asking them Is it clear? (I’llputmy fingerup) or
not? (I’ll put my finger down) Do you understand?

Teacher: Now, you’ll read the text again and then we’re going to play a game. Is it clear?
Students: Yes
Teacher: Great!

Teacher: Ok, now that you have read the text, I’m going to explain to you the game.
You’ll be divided into two groups (Group A and Group B)
Each group will have some sentences. Each group will read these sentences and the
other group will say if the sentences are true or false, if they’re false you have to say why
they’re false.
For example:
Sharon, who is one of the membersof Group A, will read ‘In the future computerswon’t
be smaller’. Is it true or false?
Group B will discuss which is the correctanswer with the membersof the group, and
they’ll answer ‘False’.Becausethey will be smaller.
Teacher: Dou you understand?
Students: yes
Teacher: Ok, we can start!

the text into the correct order.

Fillglass nanotechnology will make screens antibacterial and
you’ll never see your fingerprints again on the screen!
Nanotechnology promises a rapid improvement of technology
at low cost.
As Ralph Merkle said ‘We’ll have more power in the volume of
a sugar cube than exist in the entire world today’.
Nanotechnology is a combination of two words i.e: Nano
means smallest and technology, so Nanotechnology is the
technology of very small things. It will open the door to many
new powerful technological devices in the future. Computers
will be faster, materials will be stronger and there will be
many improvements in the medicine area.
Apart from that, thanks to graphene material there will be
flexible electronics. Can you imagine that? Future technology
will be great!

Example:
Group A: Will computers be faster and stronger?

 Activity 3: 30’
Teacher: Now, you’ll workin pairs. Make a prediction about how computers will be in the
future.
Draw your prototype and use the following words and the verb ‘Will/ won’t’ to describe
it: design, download, process, print, store, create, write, search, hardware, digital, ports,
software, Central processing unit (CPU), keyboard, mouse.
You have to include unless 5 affirmative and 5 negative sentences.
This an example of how you can start your prediction:
In the future computers won’t need the mouse. (*I’ll write it on the board)
When everybody finishes you’ll expose your works on the board and you’ll read your
predictions about future computers.
Teacher: So, first you’ll work on a draft and then you’ll write it and draw it on this paper.

Teacher: Ok, so you can start working

Teacher: Match the following words with the correct pictures:

threequestions abouthowour dailyliveswillbein thefuture and the other group will
answer them orally.
You can include in your questionsthe words we worked with in the activity above or other
technological devices that you think will be in the future.
Example:
Group A: Will we have robots in our houses in the future?
Group B: no, we won’t.
 Homework: 20’
Teacher: First we’re going to check the dialogues you had as homework last class.
(I’ll check that they have written them correctly, and they’ll read them in front of the
class)

 Write three sentences about how smartphones will be in the future.
 Write three sentences about how computers won’t be in the future.
 Write two questions that you would like to ask to a web-designer about how internet will
be in the future.
Example:
In the future smartphones will have fillglass nanotechnology. (Affirmative sentence)
I included two of the activities that I had included in the last lesson plan (Because I didn’t
have enough time to work with them during the lesson) . The local teacher told me that
during this class I must introduce the Interrogative form of the modal ‘Will’ and make a
revision of the affirmative and negative form. She suggested me to include the activities
which I couldn’t work with during the last class, because they were good !
