- 2. First up: “saber” The verb “saber” means “to know” as in knowing a fact, not a person. It is nearly a regular verb, but there is one exception, and it occurs in the “yo” form of the verb.
- 3. Forms of the verb “saber” Yo s é Nosotros sabemos Tú sabes Él/Ella sabe Ellos/Ellas/Uds. saben There’s very little more to this. You simply need to memorize the conjugated forms of this verb, and remember that “I know” is not “sabo.”
- 4. Querer “ querer” is the infinitive that means “to want.” “ querer” is a stem-changing verb. This means that the “ue” that is in the root of the word changes to a “uie” in all of the forms except for the nosotros form. Because of this… “ querer” is what we call a “boot verb.”
- 5. Here’s what I mean: quiero queremos quieres quiere quieren All of the forms of the verb that are in the “boot” have a stem change. The one that does not, “queremos” is outside of the “boot.”
