- 4. Perspective 1: Homework My perspective was confirmed when I was grading homework with my teacher in my placement class and she just gave everyone a star on the top of the homework. She did not actually check the work and grade it. - 5. Perspective 1: Homework I still believe homework is necessary, but the amount it is given is sometimes excessive and ends up more harmful than helpful to the students. - 6. Perspective 2: Homeschooling Another one of my initial perspectives was about homeschooling. - 7. Perspective 2: Homeschooling After discussing homeschooling in class and researching it for my scoop it account I learned that my original concern about homeschooling was not true. - 8. Perspective 3: Testing The idea that standardized testing should be kept to a minimum was another one of my initial perspectives. - 9. Perspective 3: Testing My perspective was confirmed when I saw how stressed out my placement teacher was prior to the MSAs. She had to spend weeks before the exam preparing her students. - 11. Perspective 3: Testing By the end of this class, I believe standardized testing needs to be kept at a minimum. It does not provide a clear representation of the student’s success and accomplishments and it places too much stress on teachers and students.
