ANALOG COMPUTER
Analog computers are those computers
which measure physical and natural value
like voltage, temperature, current pressure.
These are special purpose computers.
FEATURES OF
ANALOG
COMPUTER
It is specific to the particular task so we
cannot use it for multiple applications
It works on continuous data and gives
continuous output.
It works in real time and has no storage
capacity.
It gives output in the form of the graph,
signals, table etc.

DIGITAL COMPUTER
• Digital computer is a general purpose
computer, it uses discrete data like
letters, numbers, symbols etc.
• Digital computes are those
computers which count the
discount data only.
• They are faster and accurate as
compared to analog computer.
FEATURES OF
DIGITAL
COMPUTER
It works on the discontinuous or discrete data.
It is applicable for a general purpose so this is very versatile
for an application,
It is based on the digits 0 and 1. It is faster.
It has storage section also.
It is highly accurate and reliable than an analog system.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANALOG AND
DIGITAL COMPUTER
Analog Computer Digital Computer
The computer which is based on continuous data. The computer which is based on discrete data.
It measures only physical values like current, speed, voltage etc. It measures digits i.e 0 and 1
It is used for specific purpose. It is used for general purpose.
Low accuracy High accuracy.
It has no memory or less memory. It has high storage capacity.
They are slower than digital computer. They are faster than analog computer.
The signals are in the form of curve line The signals is in the form of pulse.
Example: Seismograph, Thermometer, speedometer etc. Example: Desktop, Palmtop, Laptop etc
HYBRID COMPUTER
•It is the combination of analog
and digital computer system. It
works with continuous and
discrete value.
• . The widest application of hybrid computer
take place in situation which require real time
solutions.
FEATURES OF HYBRID COMPUTER:
 It is an expensive system.
 It is designed for the special purpose, so it is not versatile.
 It works on discrete and continuous data.
 It has limited storage.
 It is complex than another computer system.
