The document describes a student teacher's experiences during their four weeks of student teaching. In the first week, the student teacher learned how to control and motivate a classroom. They discovered that each student has a different learning style. In the second week, the student teacher had to learn patience and be more creative to engage the students. By the third week, the student teacher recognized reading comprehension issues and the importance of being a positive role model. In the fourth week, students complained about homework and did not follow instructions, challenging the student teacher's commitment to the career. Overall, the practical experience taught the importance of classroom management, creativity, and being a role model.

Jorge Eliecer Gaitan 11Th Grade Practical Two AMAZONIA UNIVERSITY Luis Fernando Galeano Cardozo PROFESSOR: Olga Dávila First week, September 2nd 2015 Being in that moment as a teacher in a classroom is amazing experience to that field, the education. I have learnt and lived many things that I did not learn in the classroom, besides I learnt to control a group and to motivate the students to study in a funny way. Furthermore, I knew that be a teacher is an important job to the society and is model to the follow. It was an amazing experience because I learnt many things in the moment of the practices. First of all, there are many learning styles in the classroom each student learn in a different way, that is why in that moments when I was teaching I had to create the tools to teach them in the appropriate way to have a successful class. To take in mind, create a class is not easy, I had to think about the topic and the strategy to teach that topic and take into account the children likes. On the other hand, the first time which I was there, the students looked at me as strange person. Some of them ask me a lot about who I was and why I was there, others were doing other things. I gave to them an exercises to do in class, I could see that some of them had grammatical problems and other did not understand the topic. One thing that I could analyzed was that those students had a low level of English proficiency.

In addition, I was not a creative person so I had to learnt to be creative because students enjoy games, songs, all the activities where contain movements and if I did not want to have a boring class, I had to prepare the class in which contain those types of activities (I tried to do it) On the other hand, one of the most important things that we must take into account is; to have the control in classroom. When I started to teach in that classroom, I did not have the control from my students and some of them did the things that they wanted in that moment, the truth I felt so bad and in that moment of my practices and I wanted to give up. Furthermore, I was thinking about my major the career that I chose, I felt that I had chosen the wrong career because of those actions which my students took, but through the time I changed my thoughts and knew that this major is important to me and to the future people who is going to live in the society. Nevertheless, those actions from my students inspired me to continuo with my career and my practices, I started to read books about how to control the situation and I learnt some tips to apply in the classroom and finally I learnt to control my students. The most important is maintaining the student busy and talk to them with authority.

Jorge Eliecer Gaitan 11Th Grade Practical Two AMAZONIA UNIVERSITY Luis Fernando Galeano Cardozo PROFESSOR: Olga Dávila Third week, September 23rd 2015 In this week I could see that the students had problem relative with reading comprehension because they all the time were asking me about what they had to do. I remember that I have a short argue with a boy because I did not accept him a work due to the presentation of that assignment. Besides, I have realized that some students are not focusing on the study because of they are more concentrated in the fashion, the flirting and the parties. On the other hand, I have learnt the importance of this job (the teaching) in the society. Firstly, being a teacher is like a model to follow because all the student want to do the things that you do, that is why you must know how to use your words, how to your language body and how to express the love with you do your job. From my point of view, I think that is very important take those things to analyze and apply in our daily job because in sometimes I expressed my ideas in an inappropriate way and the students asked me about that.

Jorge Eliecer Gaitan 11Th Grade Practical Two AMAZONIA UNIVERSITY Luis Fernando Galeano Cardozo PROFESSOR: Olga Dávila Fourth week, September 30th 2015 That day students made me angry because some of them are irresponsible relative with the duties that they have to do. They started to complain about the homework which I gave them because they said that the homework was so long (they had to do a writing about their expectation in the life around 250 words). So, I started to tell them the reason in which I asked them for that homework and told them the steps that they have to follow in order to do it. I going to tell the truth, those student let me down because I explained them in clear up way and most of them did a different thing. I do not what do to in this cases, here is when I start to think about my career, what I should do, I ask me. The point is to find the strategies to explain them in a better way next time. I want to add something, the practices are an important subject to know if we are in the correct major and to know how our management, control and creativity in classroom are. On the other hand, I got things that I did not get in my classes from the university. I have learnt things related with my field (education) like; be patient, to have the control from my class, the importance of my job with respect to the society especially the children and the most important be funny and creative with my class in the moment of teaching.
