The no-wait, no-touch automated verification supports quick and hygenic self-service and passenger processing as travel demand increases. Using the NEC I:Delight identity management platform, SITA Smart Path validates passenger identity and credentials for paperless check-in, bag drop, security, immigration and boarding. A traveler’s Digital ID is verified with live-capture biometrics rather than in-person contact with airport or airline personnel. SITA Smart Path Mobile places enrollment in a passenger’s hand. Users can use their smartphones to create a Digital ID, which includes authenticating their identity and scanned biometric passport.
