When in Moodle, use the navigation pane/Menu on the left side of the screen to access Modules, Module Quizzes, Required tests, and the discussion board. 3. - 3. Assignment Consider your short- and long-term learning goals for this course. Write a short essay, to answer the questions: • What have been my ideal learning experiences? • How are they similar or different in comparison to today’s learning environment? • What are my learning strengths and challenges? • What are my plans after this course is over? *You may answer the question in the prompt at the end of this lesson (only professional education staff will be able to view) or you may post to the Moodle Discussion board.
- 4. Moodle and Evolve Central Colorado AHEC uses two “Learning Management Systems” (LMS). The first, called Moodle is the online platform that hosts the entire course. If you are reading this, you have accessed Moodle! Browse the Dashboard and links and get to know this site- all information you need to successfully complete this course is housed on the Moodle platform. The second LMS is called Evolve. All required HESI RN Patient Reviews, Student Resources, and Patient Review Quizzes are located on the Evolve Platform. You should have received log on information in your Welcome email. If you have difficulty accessing the Patient Reviews or Student Resources, please notify us at: training@centralcoahec.org and a team member will assist you. *The HESI RN Patient Reviews and quizzes are required for course completion- you must pass all Reviews with an 80% or better and will have as many attempts as needed for each.
- 5. Recommended Strategies • While not required, we recommend you complete the Patient Reviews as you work through corresponding module pages. For example, after completing the Acid-Base section, head over to Evolve and complete the Acid-Base Patient Reviews! • Take notes as you go through the material so that you can study the notes later, when preparing the final exam (you may not use notes for the final, but it is open book). • Use sticky notes in your book to mark important sections as quick reference for the final exam. • Consider completing practice tests in Evolve and at the end of chapters for additional exam prep if needed. • Utilize the Discussion Board to connect & ask questions of the CCAHEC team or your fellow students. • Take breaks! And celebrate the completion of each module by engaging in a healthy activity. Cheers to you!
