- 2. Kerrang! Content Page The particular reason I chose this contents page is because of the layout. The text outweighs the pictures, however they are big enough to capture the reader’s interest. The text also has enough of a depth to keep the interest, naming bands and putting pictures to article pages for a glimpse of what is in store. The actual listing of the contents is on the right, giving the reader a moment to take in the pictures before moving on to find out what is in the magazine. Again it helps bring the interest and an impact of curiosity to what they will be reading.
- 3. Rock Sound The scheme of colours for this content page is simple. Red on white to jump out and grab the reader’s attention. Another reason for choosing this content page is because of the layout of the pictures. Instead of being on the left, they’re on the right, providing the reader a chance to find out what is in the magazine before moving on to the pictures. The main reason I chose this contents page is for the simple layout of colour and the simplicity of the text.
- 4. Kerrang! 2 Once more the reason I chose the content page is because of the layout of pictures and equal quantity of images and text. By balancing it all, the reader is not instantly swamped by one or the other, given time to roam the page and figure out the contents. The main reason I chose this was for the balance of images to text along with the content of said images; some of live performances whilst others are of photo shoots. It gives the reader a wider criteria of the content of the magazine.
