This document provides instructions for uploading a picture with a creative commons license to Flickr in 10 steps: search for information about your city on Google, find a place to photograph that is not widely shared online, take a picture and write a description, create a Flickr account, upload the picture and add details and tags, choose an appropriate creative commons license, make the photo public and visible to search engines, upload the picture, embed the photo link, and paste it to a Padlet board with your name and description.

- 1. COPYRIGHT CHALLENGE Upload a picture with creative commons licence
- 2. Step 1: Search Google for information about your city – find different sources of information (web pages, pdf, docx, ppt, pictures, maps, news, videos)
- 3. Step 1: If you want to search for specific format of data, you should type in Google search input space this command filetype:pdf (or ppt, docx, jpg...) like in the example on the right:
- 4. Step 2: Find what is missing! In your city there are places that are well-known to local people but nobody put picture on the Internet. That could be places like markets, favourite playgrounds, spots where usually lots of people in your town met in order to do something together, some old houses that are not famous but you like it or there is an interesting story about some place that you have heard.
- 5. Step 3: Take a picture of a place that you have choosen. Write short story about that place.
- 6. Step 4: Go to flikr.com and make an account (if you have one - jump to Step 5)
- 7. Step 4: Fill in blank fields... ...and click continue....
- 8. Step 4: ...and Send me an Account Key...than check your mail and enter that key...
- 9. Step 5: Login to your flickr account. Upload your picture.

- 11. Step 6: Add details about your picture. Add tags (separated with Enter).
- 12. Step 7: Add Owner settings. By default Licences are set to None.
- 13. Step 7: Go to edit and choose Licence that you think is appropriate. You can read about creative commons licences in Copyright presentation or search for information on Google!
- 14. Step 7: Add Privacy and visibility settings (visible to everyone and visible to search engines)
- 15. Step 8: Upload picture by clicking Upload button upper right
- 16. Step 9: Click on your photo and you will be on page where is your photo in original size and click on share icon...
- 17. Step 9: Go to embed... and copy link with Ctrl+C... Ctrl and C taster should be pressed at once...
- 18. Step 10: Go to Padlet below this tutorial (on Copyright Page of Look Before You Leap eTwinning project) and paste your link with Ctrl+V – add your name and discription and your picture will be on Padlet
