DEMOBILIZATION PLAN
1. INTRODUCTION
This document spells out the activities to be done by Wilkins engineering as part of
demobilization from Kasoa BSP project. This has become necessary due the state of the project
drawing to the end of its cycle. Wilkins engineering as a sub-contractor was mandated to carry
out the installation of electrical works on the project. This demobilization plan is intended to
provide direction to all assigned resources on the project, as well as the responsibilities, to be
followed when demobilizing from this project.
2. PROJECT TEAM
At present, we have a total number of seventeen (17) manpower. This number comprises of a
project manager, installation manager, Health and safety officer, Quality Assurance/Control
officer, two (2) logistics officers. two (2) foremen, five (5) technicians, two (2) electricians and
two (2) helpers. The team is mandated to aid in the testing and commissioning of the SVC and
any other relevant works that may pop up in readiness of the final commissioning. As part of our
planning towards demobilization, this team shall be stationed at the project site to carry out all
the remaining works positioning the construction site for final takeover by the client in
consultation with SIEMENS Energy as the contractor.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES
The installation manager together with the logistic officers shall in the process of demobilization
retard allresources (tools, equipment) to their original locations before the project. Thesepeople
shall orchestrate the activities needed to complete the exercise, satisfactorily to the client and
other stakeholder on the project.
4. DEMOBILIZATION PROCESS
The demobilization exercise shall be conducted in phases due to the type of resources involved.
The commencing phase will involve correlating all the resources at the project site in terms of its
weight, size, height and so on. All demobilization activities/actions will be accomplished in the
most cost effective and safest manner. These resources shall be moved upon authorization
granted by a representative of the client in conjunction with the logistic officer of Wilkins
engineering. Our concern during this demobilization is to ensure the safety of all resources.
5. RELEASE PROCEDURE
Once all the authorizing person(s) have consented to the process of demobilization, the
resources will be moved from the project site to the final locations. It is important to note that
no resource shall be moved whose relevance is still in use.
