- 2. PENGERTIAN DESCRIPTIVE TEXT Menurut Kane : Description is about sensory experience - how something looks, sounds, tastes. Mostly it is about visual experience, but description also deals with other kinds of perception. Jadi, jika disimpulkan dari penjelasan Kane di atas, tulisan deskriptif bermakna teks yang menjelaskan tentang pengalaman yang berhubungan dengan pancaindera, seperti apa bentuknya, suaranya, rasanya. Kebanyakan teks deskriptif memang tentang pengalaman visual, tapi nyatanya pengalaman selain dari indera penglihatanpun bisa digunakan dalam descriptive text.

- 4. GENERIC STRUCTURE DALAM DESCRIPTIVE TEXT Ketika menulis descriptive text, ada beberapa susunan umum atau generic structure yaitu : 1. Identification : berisi tentang identifikasi hal atau seorang yang akan dideskripsikan. 2. Description : berisi tentang penjelasan atau penggambaran tentang hal atau seseorang dengan menyebutkan beberapa sifatnya. Ketika kita menulis descriptive text, hal yang wajib kita ketahui adalah cara kita menyampaikan deskripsi tulisan kita tersebut. Oleh karena itu pemahaman tentang adjective (kata sifat bahasa Inggris) wajib kita kuasai.

CIRI DESRIPTIVE TEXT • Discriptive text using verbs thinking and feeling verbs to express the author's personal views about the subject, for example, police belive the supect is aarmed, I think it is a clever animal, etc. (Teks discriptive menggunakan thinking verbs dan feeling verbs untuk mengungkapkan pandangan pribadi penulis tentang subjek, misalnya police belive the supect is aarmed, I think it is a clever animal, dsb.) • Text discriptive also use adverbs to provide additional information about the behavior or trait (adjective) are described, for example, it is extremely high (Teks discriptive juga menggunakan adverbs untuk memberikan informasi tambahan mengenai perilaku atau sifat (adjective) yang dijelaskan, misalnya it is extremely high) • There is no scientific word (Tidak ada kata ilmiah)
- 8. CONTOH DESCRIPTIVE TEXT BEKATAN Have you ever heard about bekantan? Well, I will tell you about it. Bekantan is one kind of monkey in the world. It is only live in the borneo island or well known as kalimantan. It lives inside of the jungle. Bekantan has special features than other monkey. It has a different shape of nose. It hunts the food by group. Nowadays, bekantan is rare. There are many hunter chase and sell this in the black market. Though, indonesian government forbidden them but they still do it. So, as young generation what will you do??? Of course we must keep the bekantan in order to take care of them from the extinction. Identification Description

And she is old. She has got short white straight hair. She has got brown skin. She is beautiful. Her hand is so soft, the hand that have taught me to be kind person. She never stops to support me.
