What is Reusability 2.0? Reusability 2.0  A method of creating, organizing, storing, versioning and publishing reusable learning content in a common, central repository for the purpose of creating learning support,  regardless of delivery format  (i.e. instructor guides, lesson plans, classroom visuals, tests, handouts, online courses, mobile job aides, etc.) © 2007 Xyleme - All rights reserved

Single-Format, Multiple-Audiences Scenario Bio-pharmaceutical company needs to train manufacturing operators, quality assurance staff and maintenance staff that work in the manufacturing plant Design Considerations What content is relevant to everyone vs. a specific audience? How do you make the shared content relevant without making it so generic it’s useless?  How do you write content so that it’s reusable across audiences? How do you create media so it has continuity across audiences? How do you deal with examples? E-learning) Strategies for reuse: Follow a consistent and structured approach for instructional design and writing Write content with expanding degrees of detail (e.g. slide, web, print) Plan for alternate rendition of media for (e.g. Print v. Web v.
