DISPLAY STATICS IP CONFIGURATION
No problem, By default all the Display are configured to have a Static IPs
Here is the procedure below to configure it in DHCP mode.
1. Dow nload the configuration utility from link below :
http://www.photonplay.com/Exchange/ConfigTool107.exe
2. Open the "ConfigTool107.exe" and clickon "Search" button, A small box w illappear again click at "Search" button.
3. If everything goes w ellyou willsee a MAC entry of Display on left side.
4. Click on that MAC Entry.
5. On right side options w illturned ON.
6. Just select the" DHCP" radio button. and Click on "Setting" button to save.
7. You can verify the settings by re Search the device using same procedure.
9. During this procedure you w illgot to know about the MAC address and, new lyassigned IP address also of this device.
Note: do not click on the 'Factory' or 'Reset' button at all.
Now you can try sending Data on New ly assigned IP using port number 5000
This Display device w illopen a TCP server socket on assigned IP and 5000 port.

Volatile message for LIVE Status.
As name indicatesvolatilemessagesare those message whichstaysonthe LED Screenuntil notreplaced
withnewmessage orunitisnot turnedoff.Thismode of message isusedwhenwe needtochange the
messagesveryquicklywithshortdelays.Thesemessageswill notbe savedintothe internal memory.All
the messageswill be <LF>terminated.Line feedisaascii character usedto terminate asingle message.
Nowas the above example indicatesthat, byjustappending“Lessthan”‘<’ signon beginningof a
message make itscroll ontothe screen.
In the example belowwe will learnhowtobreakmessage intotwolines:
As we can see symbol ‘~’ isusedto breakthe message intotwoline one upperlineandsecondpartof
the stringwill becomlowerline.

Message Color control.
It isverysimple tochange the color of message byappendingsimple control characters. Here isa listof
control characters:
#R = To change the textcolorinRED.
#G = To change the textcolorin GREEN.
#B = To change the textcolorinBLUE.
#Y = To change the textcolorin YELLOW.
#W = To change the textcolor inWHITE.
To betterunderstandthe use of colorcontrol characters let’shave alookon the example below:
We can use any of color control characters withsingle anddouble line messages.

Access Non-Volatile message in Sign memory.
Nowwe are able to control the behaviorof message. Here inthissectionwe will learntosave the same
messages into“Signmemory”.
The LED Signis capable tostore 18 messagesinside itsnon-volatile memory.Toaccessall the message
locationsthere issetof commands.
Character ‘|’isusedas parametersseparator. Here isa basic structure of command:

 Save a new message
To save your messages into Sign memory there is a command ID 4. All its components
are explained below:
To better understand the save command here are few example messages explained
below.
Example 1:
|C|4|1|Your message for marquee sign|3|1|
Here in the above example we are trying to save a simple message on index number 1
with scrolling speed level of 3.
Example 2:
|C|4|5|message part one ~ message part two|4|1|
Here we are trying to save a message at memory index 5 having two lines with scrolling
speed of 4.

 Delete a message
It is also possible to delete a particular message from internal memory by specifying
memory address. For that we use command ID 3.
To better understand the delete command here are few example messages explained
below.
Example 1:
|C|3|1|
Here in the above example we are trying to delete a message saved at memory index 1.
Example 2:
|C|3|15|
Here in the above example we are trying to delete a message saved at memory index
15.

 Delete all the saved messages at once.
Sometime it is necessary to clear all the saved messages fromthe sign memory. For that
there a special command available explained below.
PhotonplaySystemsInc
www.photonplay.com
 Change the scrolling speed of Volatile message.
As you have noticed we can change the scrolling speed of saved messages by using
speed parameter in the save command. But there is a provision available to change
scrolling speed of Volatile message. Because we don’t pass any special parameter along
with the simple message string to tell its scrolling speed.
Scrolling speed mentioned here will not have any effect on the non-volatile saved
messages.

 To resume displaying the saved messages.
When the sign will be turned ON. It will start showing the saved messages first. Until we
don’t send the volatile messages by sending simple message strings. And once we send
the volatile message then sign will continue to show same message until or unless we
don’t send another volatile message or we don’t restart the sign. But there is another
way available to resume back the sign to show saved messages. Here is the command
explained below:
