The document analyzes how e-learning can improve quality and productivity in hotels. It finds that hotels consider e-learning increases productivity and production volume. E-learning is also found to significantly increase employee motivation. However, managers' opinions on e-learning strategies differ depending on hotel category and head office nationality. The research was based on a survey of 34 Portuguese hotels using e-learning. It analyzed the relationship between e-learning and quality/productivity factors and found the highest impact was on decreasing training costs while the lowest was on decreasing absenteeism.
