According to ancient Egyptian scientists/mathematicians, today is Pi Day. Edge computing performs most computations on distributed devices to help solve IoT security problems. Eclipse Kura is an open source IoT edge framework that offers API access to gateway hardware and supports protocols like MQTT, MODBUS and OPC-UA to acquire field data, process it at the edge, and publish to cloud platforms.
