EduFeedr — Tool for Open Courses with Blogs

EduFeedr is a tool for aggregating content from open online courses with blogs. It addresses the problem of how to follow and support learning activities across different web applications like course wikis and student blogs. The lightweight tool uses open standards to collect and link content from various sources into a centralized course feed, without requiring plugins. While still in development, EduFeedr currently demonstrates how student blog posts and comments can be visualized together to help create personal learning environments and support open education.

Requirements and limitations • Support for all major blogging platforms using open standards (RSS, Atom, trackback, pingback) • No special plug-ins should be required on the student blogs • Only teacher has an user account in EduFeedr, which allows her to modify the EduFeedr settings • Anyone has read access to aggregated course content
