The document presents a proposed energy-efficient multipath routing protocol named ff-aomdv for mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) that addresses energy consumption issues faced by nodes reliant on batteries. This protocol utilizes a fitness function to optimize the routing process, resulting in improved performance metrics such as throughput, packet delivery ratio, and end-to-end delay when compared to existing protocols like aomdv and aomr-lm. Simulation results demonstrated ff-aomdv's effectiveness in conserving energy and extending network lifetime.
