The document presents a methodology for estimating a person's age from their fingerprints using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and singular value decomposition (SVD), culminating in the classification of age groups via a k-nearest neighbors (KNN) classifier. The system was evaluated on a dataset of 3,570 fingerprints, achieving accuracy rates ranging from 53.14% to 96.67% across various age and gender classifications. This research contributes to forensic investigations, providing a tool for age estimation without reliance on other physical identifiers.
