This document discusses criteria for evaluating digital libraries. It identifies six key criteria: content, technology, interface, process/service, user, and context. Content criteria examine how digital collections are selected, organized and presented. Technology criteria assess how hardware and software support library functions. Interface criteria consider what users can interact with and how interaction is supported. Process/service criteria examine the services provided and how tasks like searching are supported. User criteria look at how DL use impacts users. Context criteria assess how well the DL fits with its institutional and environmental context. Usability and usefulness are also important factors to consider in digital library evaluation.
