- 4. BOARD OF TRADE Constituted in 1991, headed by the commerce ministers. The Board of Trade want to revamped/restore and given a clear and dynamic role in advising government on relevant matter connected with Foreign Trade Policy. There would be a process of continuous interacting between the Board of Trade and Government in order to achieve the desired objective of boosting India’s exports.
- 5. Provides a meaningful dialogue between government and industry. The deputy minister of commerce is the boards vice chairman. The board reviews half yearly the performance of country's economy in its financial aspect and considers policies relating to export promotion.
- 6. The Board of Trade would have the following terms of reference To advise the Government on Policy measures for prepare and implementing of both short and long term plans for increasing exports in the light of emerging national and international economic scenarios. To review export performance of various sectors, identify constraints and suggest industry specific measures to optimize export earnings. To examine the existing institute framework for imports & exports and suggest practical measures for further streamlining to achieve the desired objectives.
- 7. •To review the policy instruments and procedures for imports & exports and suggest steps to rationalize and channelize such schemes for optimum use. • To examine the problem which are considered relevant for promoting of India’s foreign trade, and to strengthen the international competitiveness of Indian goods and service.
- 9. INDIAN TRADE PRAMOTION ORGANIZATION It was set up in 1992 after the merge of Trade Development Authority (TDA) and Trade Fair Authority of India (TFAI). ITPO, the Premier Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India is Committed to showcase excellence achieved by the country in diverse fields especially trade and commerce. Its headquarter is in New Delhi.

ITPO is operates a “Trade Portal of India” Which has all trade related information including country profiles, product profiles, trade directory etc. ITPO is networking with International Organization in the field of Trade and Commerce through membership or collaborative arrangements such as Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), ITPO is a founder member of Asian Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF) and participates in its Annual meets regularly.
- 11. ITPO has achieved MOU Excellent rating for the year 2014–2015. As a result of robust performance in both financial and non- financial parameters, ITPO has achieved MOU excellent rating consecutively for the last four years 2011-12,2012–13, 2013–2014 and2014–2015. ITPO continued performing handsomely and registered an increase in total income to Rs.3819 million in FY 2014– 2015 from about Rs.3488 million in FY 2013–2014.

- 14. INDAIN COUNCIL OF ARBITRATION Set up in1965 by ministry of commerce as an autonomous non profit organization registered under societies registration Act 1860 It was set up promoting & encouraging amicable settlement of commercial disputes between Exporters and Importers .
- 15. OBJECTIVES1. To develop arbitration consciousness in foreign trade. 2. To provide facilities for amicable settlement of commercial disputes by arbitration. 3. To settle trade complaints arising out of non- compliance with arbitration awards between Indian & foreign parties. 4. Training & seminars on commercial arbitration & international law.
- 17. INDAIN INSTITUTION OF PACKAGING Set up in 1966 by ministry of commerce. Headquarters in mumbai. It is a training institute relating to packing & testing.

- 20. IIFT – Indian Institute Of Foreign Trade It was set up 1963 by GOI as an autonomous body registered under Societies Registration Act. The institute has been given the status of Deemed University in May 2002 by UGC. It aims to professionalize the foreign trade of the country. It is an education institute .
