This document discusses the differences between finite and non-finite clauses. Finite clauses contain subjects and finite verbs that indicate person, number, and tense. They can stand alone as independent clauses or depend on other clauses. Non-finite clauses do not indicate tense and cannot stand alone; they take different verb forms like the infinitive, -ing, or -ed participle. Non-finite clauses are dependent and may or may not contain subjects. Examples of both finite and non-finite clauses are provided.
