Daily Science
1. If you drop an object, what happens?
2. Why does it fall? What is it called and is
this specific thing a force?
Gravity
• Gravity is a force that pulls things
downward.
• Mass- Amount of matter inside an object.
• Weight- the force of gravity pulling down
on an object.
• Gravity pulls every object at a speed of
9.81m/s2 or 32.1 ft/s
Factors
• What are some factors that affect how
objects fall?
• Air resistance- determines if objects fall at
the same rate or not.
