How to Contribute to a Wiki in Moodle
- 1. 1. Click the title of the wiki from the front page of the course.
- 2. 2. Click the View tab. 3. Next, click the name of the heading that you would like to add your contribution to.
- 3. 4. Click the Edit tab.
- 4. 5. Add your contributions. Feel free to add a picture, if you’d like. 6. Click Save at the bottom.
- 5. This is how the wiki page looks with your addition.
- 6. 6. To go back to the list that was on the front page of the wiki, select the name of the wiki from the breadcrumbs at the top. You can also click the Map tab.
- 7. 7. To add context to the page click the Edit tab to add text above or below the title surrounded by brackets.
- 8. Here’s how it looks to someone viewing the wiki.
- 9. 8. Some categories will have subcategories associated with them. In this example, you’ll see that each season is listed. This leaves room for someone to list a vegetable that is available during that season. To add this, they only need to click Edit and add their contribution.
- 10. 9. You can add a subcategory too. To do this, click the subheading. 10. Make sure HTML format is selected. Then click Create page.
- 11. 11. Include brackets around your text. Then click Save.
- 12. Your subcategory is now listed.
- 13. 12. Click Comments to add yours comments.
