We can customize the navigation on SharePoint sites by managing the Quick Launch bar and Top link bar. This allows adding, removing, or editing links to help users easily access lists, pages, and other parts of the site. The Quick Launch bar appears on the left side and displays links in a logical manner, while the Top link bar is similar but appears at the top. We can add new links, change the order, and configure navigation settings to control whether these bars are enabled and how the site content is displayed to users.

Create linkbydrag and Drop Navigationsettingpage fromsite settings AddinganddeletingNavigation Viewtypesof Navigation So we are starting from Quick Launch bar from the leftside of the SharePointpages or sites.Beloware the stepsto configure the same withscreen shots. Openanysite and page and notice,leftside of the screenwe willhave some linkswhichwill navigate orlaunchthe respective site. To clickon the editoptionsee below screenshotsandwill addthe new links.
- 2. Nowwe will adda linkbyenteringthe URL, to adda linktoanothersite,type inthe URL. Click EDIT LINKS onthe QuickLaunch or Top linkbar,dependingonwhere youwanttoadda link. Clickon + linkand Entera displayname forthe linkanda targetlocation,makingsure youinclude the http://dfdsfsdfsfsdfsdfsdfsdfsd.com/dfdsfsdf ClickOKto add the newlinkto the QuickLaunch or Top linkbar. Rename a linkor remove a link Click EDIT LINKS onthe QuickLaunch or Top linkbar,dependingonwhere we wanttoeditalink. Rename:Clickdirectlyonthe link we wanttorename andstart typingthe new name.Clickoutside the name,and thenclickSave. Remove:Clickthe Xcorrespondingtothe linktoremove itfromthe navigationpanel,thenclick Save. Renamingalinkdoesn'taffectthe page that the linkreferences.
- 3. NavigationElement:Nowwe will discussaboutnavigationelements.Navigationelementwill define howyou wantto showyour site navigationpage,here we will gettwooptionwhichwe will show you below. Nowto checkout Navigationsite page,clickonsite settingpage fromsettinggearbox andselect NavigationelementsfromLookandFeel categories,referbelow screenshot. Here we will gettowoptioncalledEnable QuickLaunch& Enable tree View. Enable quickLaunchwill specify: whetherthe QuickLaunchshouldbe displayedtoaidnavigation. The Quick Launchdisplayssite contentinalogical manner.
- 4. Enable Tree Viewwillspecify: whetheratree view shouldbe displayedtoaidnavigation. The tree viewdisplayssitecontentinaphysical manner. Here will have checkbox for above defaultenable Tree view will be uncheckedif youwillselectthe above will resultlikebelowscreenshot:
- 5. Nowwe can change the orderof quicklaunchas well see below: We addNewnavigationlinkfromsite settingoptionaswell,select site settingpage>selectquick launchand we will gettingbelowoptiontodosofor
- 6. Top Link bar: Top linkbar will representthe pagesaswell same asquicklaunchbar,we can use top navigationbarto navigate the site pagesaspercustomeror our requirement. How to add any new navigation link: Go to site settingandselectTopLinkBar fromLook andfeel option. Nowon toplinkpage,clickon newNavigationLinkandtype webaddressandType descriptionthen clickon ok. Here we can change the Orderfrom here only,see the below screenshotsandstepsaswell. Go to Top LinkBar and selectChange Orderoption.
- 7. Nowwe will goaheadand we can see there isothertwo optionavailableonlookandFeel Optionfrom the Office 365 or SharePointpage.
