Company Details:
Silicon Mentor is an initiative by a group of semiconductor engineers having hands on expertise across
domains, ranging from System on Chip (SoC) design, verification.
We strive to empower engineering students, SMEs as well as established corporate with technology know how
and enable solutions in VLSI as well as embedded systems development. We are determined to add value and
deliver quality up to and beyond customer satisfaction.
We are committed to improving the quality of life of the communities we serve. We do this by striving for
leadership and global competitiveness in the business sectors in which we operate.
OUR INITIATIVE:
As technology becomes increasingly important in today's world, it is invaluable to not only learn how to use
technology, but also to understand how to create it. Technology is the future and today's engineers are
tomorrow's technologists.
Silicon Mentor is committed to using the inspirational & motivational concepts of SPICE to excite the
peoples about the advance technical world in which they will grow.
OUR VISION:
A world where people understand technology, work productively together, and use technology creatively and
responsibly to improve the quality of life.
OUR MISSION:
 To develop a mathematically competent and technological literate workforce
 To grow future entrepreneurs and employees for the region and nation
 To enhance the economic development of these technologies regionally and nationally
We also provide teachers and mentors with training and materials that enable them to be effective leaders,
coaches and mentors of SPICE and technology programs that teach and inspire others.
Our Team:
Our team, as our imperative asset, works with great zeal to realize the mutual interests or our organization.
Our team is made of professionals including professional trainers, managers, consultants, business
development staff, quality auditor and other workforces.
Each member in our team is selected on the basis of their domain knowledge in respective fields. To upgrade
the expertise of our team we also conduct regular training exercises. It helps us to be paralleled with new
changes occurring time after time in the market. Our team members are highly efficient and understand the
needs of clients as precisely as possible.

Objective of the HSPICE/PSPICE:
SPICE stands for Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis. It is the predominant tool used to
simulate circuits and was developed at UC Berkeley in the 1970s. You will be using SPICE extensively
in your circuit design courses, and this lab will teach you how to use a popular commercial package called
HSPICE, one of many implementations based on the original Berkeley SPICE. You will learn how to specify and
analyze a circuit with HSPICE and how to plot the results of your analysis with a tool called Avanwaves, or
Awaves for short.
What is SPICE?
SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) is a general-purpose, open source. It is a powerful
program that is used in integrated circuit and board-level design to check the integrity of circuit designs and to
predict circuit behaviour
Why we need SPICE?
SPICE (Simulated Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) is a general purpose software that simulates
different circuits and can perform various analysis of electrical and electronic circuits including time domain
response, small signal frequency response, total power dissipation, determination of nodal voltages and
branch current in a circuit, transient analysis, determination of operating point of transistors, determinations
of transfer functions etc. This software is designed in such a way so that it can simulate different circuit
operations involving transistors, operational amplifiers (op – amp) etc. and contains models for circuit
elements (passive as well as active).
