This paper presents an enhanced three-phase Direct Torque Control (DTC) system using an optimal PI parameter tuning strategy with a constant switching frequency to mitigate the issues of variable inverter switching frequency and high torque ripple. The proposed method employs a modified Constant Frequency Torque Controller (CFTC) that utilizes a 3-level inverter, allowing for greater voltage vector selection, which improves system efficiency and reduces torque ripple. The effectiveness of the method is validated through simulation and experimental results demonstrating superior performance over conventional DTC systems.
