Infosys Technologies decided to move into the IT consulting market segment for several reasons.
One of them is related to the outsourcing backlash in the USA, another was that it was considered a
natural evolution of the services, and they also wanted to change the rules of the game within the
consulting industry.
Kris Gopalakrishnan of Infosys Technologies hinted that the backlash against offshore outsourcing
