Instructional Strategies • Direct Instruction • Determine and establish the outcomes of the lesson being instructed. • Design • Establish the purpose of the lesson to the students • Explain to the students what is to be learned in the lesson. • Diverse • To meet each student's classification: ELL, 504, Sped, G/T etc. • Organization • Create the outline and process • Organizes students in an appropriate setting (individual, partners, groups) • Teacher-Student Interactions • "Scripted Programs relieve teachers of the role of instructional designer“ (Slocum, T.A., & Watkins, C.L., 2003).
