The Cornerhouse underwent a comprehensive rebrand. isGroup was commissioned to visually extend the new branding throughout the complex. isGroup worked with Land Securities, developing a strong brand concept that took full advantage of our wide expertise including cladding, innovative lighting effects and printed wall graphics. Initial site visits identified the most effective sign and lighting solutions, including customised totem signs that feature an integrated directory panel, 3D floor level numbers and internal LED illumination. Our design team also transformed the lift directories, lift interiors, lift and stairwell entrances as well as some of the building’s striking architectural features, such as its columns and glass fascia. The new square with architecturally designed granite and cast bronze street furniture is part of the enormous £800m NOMA mixed-use development. isGroup ensured the same characteristics were applied to the signage, by using a set of bespoke WAY2GO signs, all of which were customised with soft white illumination. The top panel consisted of individual glass planks that presented information and identified nearby places of interest. The lower panels presented a specialist sourced West Moreland stone at the base carved with the logo design of NOMA, that elegantly sits below a decorative filigree pattern of painted aluminium, with an LED light sheet to the rear to provide soft illumination. We are thrilled with the end results and with isGroup’s design proposals and quality of product, a much need injection of colour, style and sense of logic has been achieved through new wayfinding solutions, feature lighting and vinyl graphics. We are now looking to roll out some of these ideas at other leisure and shopping centre complexes of ours. We were not disappointed! The result - an exceptional signage scheme which delivers precise ambience for its residents. isGroup’s approach ensured that the project was delivered on time and within budget.
