In a show stopping effort to raise money for the British Paralympic Association, teams
from Modis and Roevin recently took part in the Tatton Park Triathlon — and thanks to
the generosity of Adecco Group colleagues, they’ve pulled in an impressive £1,020.

Craig Slater, who organised the intercompany Triathlon challenge and “convincingly beat all
of the Roevin and Modis competitors”, gave us the following quote:
“Risin' up straight to the top
Had the guts, got the glory
Went the distance
Now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive”
Inspiring sentiment, I’m sure you’ll agree. And in the spirit of ‘going the distance’, the
kilometres covered by each team (and Craig) are listed below.

    • Adecco: 427 km
    • Roevin: 1,635 km
    • Modis: 89.25 km

Modis talks IT trends with with Computer Weekly

On 13 September, Modis facilitated an interactive roundtable discussion on the future of IT
at a 5* hotel located near Liverpool Street, London.

Companies including Barclays, Lloyds, Leapfrog Communications, Simms, Kingston Smith
Consulting and of course Modis engaged in a two hour discussion which covered the following
topics:
      • Who today’s IT people really are
      • How they connect with other core business functions
      • Whether organisations are making the best use of the technology available
      • How regulation can keep up with technology advances
      • Where IT sits within business as a function
      • What the future shape of the function will look like
      • The Talent Pool
      • The Role of education
      • Whether UK IT has a unique selling proposition for the global economy
It was great to have attendees from Unlocking Britain’s Potential join in the debate at the Modis
event and it is very clear that the thoughts and concerns shared a year ago at the UBP
roundtables are still being echoed today. A key theme is that the current education system is still
failing both young people and the employers.

Full discussion notes from the event are now available on the Modis website. For more
information, please contact Sarah Cooke at sarah.cooke@adecco.co.uk.

Central Services: you have less than a week to go

On 23 November, Adecco Group’s superstars will be wined and dined by CEO Peter Searle
at Babylon’s Kensington Roof Gardens. The highest earners across the Group will be
automatically nominated, but those in Central Services still have time to vote.

If you’re in Central Services and want to put forward a colleague, you can vote here:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XGVR2NW; or if you think you deserve to win, you still have
time to ask your colleagues to vote for you.

Once all of the Central Services nominations are in, the Incentives Committee will put forward
a shortlist to the Board who will then have the very difficult task of whittling it down to just
seven deserving winners.

We’ve already received 118 nominations, so keep them coming in.

Voting closes at 17:30 on Friday 28 September. Not long to go, so why not give the
chance of winning one last push?

Lyreco: Adecco Group’s sole stationary supplier

It’s been four months since Lyreco became Adecco Group’s sole provider of stationery,
and so far, the roll-out has been a huge success. But we wanted to send you a quick
reminder of the main points:

    • Lyreco now replaces all other suppliers across the Group for stationery and office supply
         products
     • All orders should to be placed online www.lyreco.co.uk using your log in and password
     • Lyreco has a core list of items that Adecco has identified as being the most appropriate
and fit for business, so always use the core list of items (which can be can be found on
         Ourspace) when ordering
     • Branch locations should adhere to their allotted stationery budget
     • Any orders for items not included on the core list, or over budget, will require approval
         online by Procurement
If you are unable to find the item that you require online, please ring Lyreco customer services on
0845 758 1208, as they can obtain most items. Approval by Procurement will still form part of the
online process for special orders.
Lyreco will shortly be carrying out a satisfaction survey, so if you get invited to take part, please
give honest feedback.

For any issues concerning log ins or passwords, please ring Lyreco customer services on 0845
758 1208.
