What is Kaizen ?
• A Japanese word for the philosophy that defines
management’s role in continuously encouraging and
implementing small improvements involving everyone.
• It is the process of continuous improvement in small
increments that make the process more efficient, effective,
under control and adaptable.
• Focuses on simplification by breaking down complex
processes into their sub processes and then improving
them.

• Placing a Map in the Hospital at various places so
that people can navigate through to their
destination.
• Sending updates via sms while a patient waits
outside the OPD for his or her consultation.
• Provision of hand sanitizer to patients to ensure a
hygienic environment.
• Discount on medicine for patients with an
authorised hospital registration card.
• Provision of online reports to patients in order to
save cost and time with respect to patient.
