WHY AM I HERE?
 Students who did not score “proficient” or “advanced”
overall on any Keystone Exam are required to receive
supplemental instruction, and must re-take the exam.
 The Algebra 1 Keystone Exam is split into two modules
(two days). You are only required to re-take the
  module(s) you did not pass.
WHAT ARE MODULES?
 Algebra 1 content has been split two halves, called
 modules, which cover different concepts.
WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPROVE?
 The packet you have been given has 4 pages of practice
  problems for each module.
 The packet includes general practice, and sample
items for multiple-choice and constructed response.
WHO CAN HELP ME?
 If you are currently in a math course, consult with your
classroom teacher and work through problems.
 All students are invited to visit “targeted” directed
  study periods:
   Period 3: Mr. Fromal (B118)
   4A: Mrs. Varcoe (B207)
   4B: Mrs. Richards (B110)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 HS Math Department website:
   Information from the state
   Summer review packets
 Links to Algebra help websites
 Dates:
   Algebra 1: May 13 and 14 (Monday, Tuesday)
   Biology: May 16 (Thursday)
 ELA: May 20 and 21 (Monday, Tuesday)
FINAL THOUGHTS
 All students have the ability to be proficient!
 Focus on what you CAN do and CAN achieve!
 Constructed response: this is where many students
lose points. Look at all parts, and think about what
  you know.
 Self-reflection is a key to success. What is your plan
  for proving proficiency?
