Learning Outcomes
By the end of today’s lesson;
• All students will be able to import
  images to their video (level 4)
• Most students will use images, video
  and text in their video (level 5)
• Some students will use effects and
  transitions effectively (level 6)
Creating a Video
Your company ‘JogsTech’ are creating a
video to advertise a new piece of
technology.

You now have a logo to include at the
beginning of the video. You have also
collected some images that will be used.

What attributes does a professional
video have?
  – Not too long
  – Not too much text per clip
  – Combination of text, video, images and
    sound
  – Catchy sound track
Using Serif MoviePlus
Your Task
In today’s lesson you begin creating your
video for JogsTech.

Success Criteria
  –   Include your logo at the beginning of the video
  –   Include at least 3 images
  –   Include text in at least 2 places
  –   Add at least 1 transition
  –   Add at least 1 effect.
Review Learning
You will need to evaluate the work you
have done so far using Jogle.

You should include
  – At least 2 WWW comments
  – At least 2 EBI comments
  – At least 1 target for next lesson
  – The grade you feel that you have
    achieved in this lesson.

Editor's Notes

  • #5: Students think for 30 seconds and then feedback to the class via QA what they think makes a good video. Once all answers are in share the list with the class.
  • #6: Show video to the class then give a demonstration on how to use the software. Students should be shown how to add images, video and text. They should also use effects and transitions.
