CP3T17 and CP3T18 attempted to set up a wired and wireless home network connecting 33 notebooks during a science lab practicum. They had difficulties getting the notebooks connected. Only 11 of the 33 notebooks were able to successfully join the network due to compatibility issues with certain Windows 7 editions. They were not able to share files between all the connected notebooks within the allotted time. The report concluded that notebooks running Windows 7 Home, Basic, Starter or Premium could not join the network, but Windows 7 Professional and Windows 8 could if a Windows 8 notebook acted as the server initially.

CP3T17 & CP3T18 need to set up wired and wireless home network for 33 notebooks
to be connected during Science Computer’s Lab Practicum [2 Hours] in Science Computer
Lab 7. We need all the notebooks to join the home group successfully so that we can share
files. From 33 notebooks, only 11 are successfully connected. The others cannot join because
their Operating System is Windows7 Home, Windows7 Basic, Windows7 Starter, Windows7
Premium and Windows8. Eventually, if Windows8 is a server, the others Windows8 can join.
Thus, don’t buy notebooks that use Windows7 Home, Windows7 Basic, Windows7 Starter or

![INTRODUCTION
We need all 33 notebooks to successfully join the home network. But, the main
problem during Lab Practicum is we wasted a lot of time on wiring, figuring out which
notebooks is suitable andtrying to connect first4 notebooks that act as a server for the
network to access point. In the end, only 3 notebooks connect to access point.
1:23 PM -CP3T17 & CP3T18 are discussing whose going to do wiring and to be cameraman.
1:30 PM-Sir Syed explaining that there are four notebooks are going act as server and wired
and he give us 4 wires [2 in each tutorial class].

2:10 PM -3 notebooks [1 from CP3T17 and 2 from CP3T18] successfully connect to access
point and joined the home network. Only 1 notebooks left. The network’s name Default and
passwordsQ9XY4TD3s
2:15 PM -I already 3 times changed notebooks and still cannot connect access point. Sir Syed
said that if cannot connect don’t waste any more time and just leave it.
2:18 PM -A few notebooks are already successfully joined the home group through WiFi.

CONCLUSION
Computers that using Operating System Windows7 Home, Windows7 Basic,
Windows7 Starter and Windows7 Premium cannot joined home group but Windows7
Professional can join home group. Eventually, Windows8 can join home group if Windows8
act as server in the beginning. All computers can share files if there are connected through
home group. Even though we manage to successfully connect 11 from 33 notebooks but we
