LEARNING TO BE
INNOVATIVE
Dr.T.V.Rao MD
LIFE IS MOVING FROM
PAST TO FUTURE
If you want
something
new, you have
to stop doing
something
old”
Peter F. Drucker
Everyone Loves Innovation
Many Forget
We all would agree we
do indeed live in an
age of innovation,
where new clothing
designs, space-saving
cappuccino machines,
smartphone apps they
represent something
new
We love Innovation
but we do not appreciate
Yes, everybody loves
innovation, and
innovation is
everywhere. But not
all innovation is
created equal and
appreciated by many
.
We Live is a Competitive
World
Nowadays due increase in
the competition among all
companies and educational
Institutes ,they require to
be a bit different from the
rest innovative ideas are
seen in todays
advertisements popularity
.they have become an
inseparable parts of
advertisements.
We are Locked in a
System
If there’s one thing we
know about great
innovations, it’s that they
always break from the
status quo. The best
creative thinking occurs
outside of the usual
systems at work. The
problem is, most of us
live and work inside
the system.
Why we are Not
Innovative
Unfortunately, many
of us have forgotten
what it takes to
incentivize the hard
work, investment
and creativity that
bring new inventions
into the world.
Just Think The Innovative
Product in your hands
Take the mobile phone,
which was found to be the
most useful invention of
all time by more than 70
percent of respondents to
a recent global poll
published in TIME
Magazine
Smart Phone are Smarter
than Us ?
what about the science and
engineering that make all
smartphones possible, that
let hundreds of millions of
people at the very same
moment talk to a friend on
the other side of the globe
or access key business data
or download the latest hit
songS or book or movie --
all using the same spectrum
What People Think About
Innovation
One is pleased to read in the TIME poll that
I'm not alone in appreciating invention.
Nearly 85 percent of the consumers who
responded to the poll said they think we live
in an age of invention, and a vast majority
said the more their country supports
invention the more their country will thrive
economically.
Best Way to be Innovative
Love Your Job
When you’re in love,
you feel like the best
version of yourself.
Your capacity for
giving is at its max
It strives to allow each
person to contribute
great work is the
foundation for
accessing creativity
and ultimately the
basis for innovation.
Have a Dream to Life to
Innovate
“Dreamers are
mocked as
impractical. The
truth is they are the
most practical, as
their innovations
lead to progress and
a better way of life
for all of us.”
Robin S. Sharma
If you are Too
Conformable
you are No Innovative
You have to
purposely jam the
controls. Create
blips in the
patterns. Get out of
your comfort zone.
LEARNING TO BE INNOVATIVE ?
Persistence
Innovation involves
more than just great
ideas. We need faith,
hard work and a laser
sharp focus for the
end result to keep
persisting for our
vision in the face of
roadblocks.
Persistence
We tend to see the
end result of a
creative idea in awe,
but what we don’t see
are the actions, hard
work and persistence
behind the scene to
make the vision a
reality
Love your job In spite
of failures
You have to be blind
to the possibilities of
failure; to all those
people telling you
that you're wrong,
that the risks are too
great, and that you
should get a "real
job."
Remove Self-Limiting
Inhibitions
Under the spell of
inhibition, we feel
limited and stuck.
We need to free
ourselves from
these mind-created
constraints by
removing
assumptions and
restrictions.
We are Challenged in
the System
One could also find
parallels to the flip-side
of love:
jealousy, anger,
hurt, betrayal, and
loss.. Failures .but
let's keep this
upbeat
Innovation Creates
Intellectual Revenues
“intellectual revenue.”
Whether an idea succeeds
or fails, good Innovation
driven companies hold
onto the lessons learned
from the effort. Work done
to push beyond the norm
or create something new
requires time to define real
problems,
Innovations Create Wealth
“Innovation is the
specific instrument of
entrepreneurship... the
act that endows
resources with a new
capacity to create
wealth.” ―
Peter F. Drucker
Innovative ideas are
Confusing ?
Innovation is being
proven around the world
to be the best path to
stability and growth for
businesses educational
Institutions . However,
the path to building an
Innovation Culture is
often very muddy and
confusing
Simple Ways to be
Setting lofty Ignonalos visa tthivee o nly way to get
truly breakthrough results.
By stretching your goals you create a
cultural climate that people can rally
around.
Don’t set too many lofty goals – pick the
three that matter most.
Make sure your goals are BOLD ones;
they should make a difference and be
Life is Get Going
Try something new.
Stop talking and start doing
something! Build a sense of
urgency in the organization.
Innovation is about trying
something not analysing and
studying it for too long. Use
prototyping as a way to reduce
risk and uncertainty. Here are
some reasons to turn up the
internal “clock speed:”
Get out of Bottle Necks
Without a keen sense
of urgency, most
organizational leaders
are sceptical of new
initiatives and
enthusiasm,
eventually falling back
to the status quo
We are Not human but
Super human if you are Innovative
“The point is to
enable humans to
eventually become
a multi-planetary
species,”
Challenges to
Todays Seniors
The challenge, and
opportunity, that faces
most senior leaders is
prepare for a new
chapter of competition
by infusing new skills,
new tools, new
management models,
and new faces into the
Education Academic
perceptions and
business.
When We Ignore
Innovation
When we ignore how
innovation actually
works, we make it hard
to see what’s
happening right in front
of us today. If you don’t
know that the
incandescent light was
a failure before it was a
success
Remove Self-Limiting
Inhibitions
Under the spell of
inhibition, we feel
limited and stuck.
We need to free
ourselves from
these mind-created
constraints by
removing
assumptions and
restrictions
Take Risks, Make
Mistakes
Believe that part of the
reason why we create self-imposed
inhibition is due to
our fear of failure. Expect
that some ideas will fail in
the process of learning.
Build prototypes often, test
them out on people, gather
feedback, and make
incremental changes. Rather
than treating the mistakes as
failures, think of them as
experiments.
Escape from Tensions
Relax
Our environment can
and does effect how
we feel. The more
relaxed and calm we
are internally, the
more receptive we
are to tap into our
flowing creativity.
Writing Things Down
Many innovators and
creative people keep a
journal to jot down ideas
and thoughts. Some keep a
sketch book, scrap book,
post-it notes, loose paper.
They all have a method to
capture their thoughts, to
think on paper, to drop
their inhibitions and start
the creative process.
Curiosity
Many innovators are
just curious people
who are inquisitive,
and like to solve
problems. Practice
seeing things
differently. For
example, When seeing
the solution to a
problem, ask yourself,
“What are some
alternative ways to
doing this?
Plan for Roadblocks
Commit to efforts
to overcome
potential
setbacks. It’s
worthwhile to
identify and have
a plan for non-creative
items that
may inhibit
creative thinking.
Innovators are Controversial?
Try to Overcome
“Innovators are
inevitably
controversial.”
Eva Le Gallienne
If you are Teaching and Living with
Yesterdays ideas …..
The World Needs Creativity and
Innovation
“Creating a better
future Requires
creativity in the
present.”
Matthew Goldfinger
Learn to be Innovative to
Live Tomorrow
Never forget Innovation is
Moving from Past to Future
“Innovation
basically
involves making
obsolete that
which you did
before.” ―
Jay Abraham
