This document discusses tools for critical thinking in IT. It describes methods used in the course, including user interviews and observation. Empathy mapping and user experience mapping are introduced to help understand users. Other tools covered include user personas to identify user problems, affinity diagrams to categorize similar items, and open-ended questions. Examples are provided for an affinity diagram exercise to describe oneself and define information technology.
