HOW TO WASH YOUR HANDS
HOW TO SANITISE YOUR HANDS
The type of PPE used depends on the
outcome of the risk assessment in relation to
the job activities and the likelihood of
exposure to COVID-19.
• Management will issue each staff member with at
cloth face masks
• Cloth face masks must be worn at all times, even
while commuting to work and home.
• PPE cannot be used in isolation; it should be coupled
with other available control measures
• Select appropriate PPE in relation to the hazard
• Ensure that PPE is fitted properly
• Ensure that there is correct maintenance and
disposal of the PPE
PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF COVID-19
PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF COVID-19
PPE (this can be stipulated by the company
guidelines, it is recommended) includes the
following:
• Gloves
• Goggles
• Face shields
• Face masks (face masks have now become
compulsory for members of the public and
employees)
• Respiratory protection, when appropriate
• PPE must be worn at all times by employees as per
the Company’s requirements
Limitations of PPE:
• PPE doesn’t eliminate the virus
• Wearing of PPE may restrict
movement or be uncomfortable
• Often employees are not properly
trained on how to use it
