This paper presents an enhanced field-oriented control (EFOC) technique for the rotor side control of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) to enhance performance during low voltage ride-through (LVRT) events. By utilizing a battery energy storage system, the proposed method aims to improve electromagnetic torque response, voltage mitigation, and limit surge currents during faults. Simulation results demonstrate how the EFOC effectively stabilizes rotor current and controls voltage during severe disturbances in grid conditions.
