Editor's Notes
- #8: A map is a simplified representation of the real world. Default can be adjusted by personal need
- #15: Where is it deep? What color is high? Elevation is just an attribute or a raster A lot of color ramps available, but which one to use?
- #16: Used in for example classifications of areas
- #17: The north arrow needs to be connected to the rotation of the map
- #18: Scale definition - The value of a single unit of distance on the map, representing distance in the real world.
- #20: What is the goal with your map? Sizes – Italic – Bold
- #23: Borders around maps and map elements, which should give you more reference. Do not overuse it. It will become a puzzle box/ very cluttered.
- #24: Are all elements really necessary? Does it serve the goal? Answers it the question of the title? Redundant information. Not a scale bar when there is a grid.
- #27: High – not a lake, but highest point in the map
